Your tribute is wonderful. We have followed pretty much the same path. We are both really fortunate as our physical and mental health remain pretty good....a lot slower than it used to be, but functional.
I’m happy to hear how much you are enjoying life on the lake. It’s hard to believe that I retired and moved away from NYC ten years ago. I’ve settled in well in Rochester now. I was elected to serve as a VP of the genealogy society here and finally have time to write. I miss the old Rose’s gang. But time moves on….
Take care of yourself. I enjoy reading your essays.
Thanks again. I am four years in at my place. I'm also settling in, but I do miss the energy and culture of NY. I do go into Boston as frequently as possible, which is about 1:15 minutes away. And I visit NY a couple of times a year. But my dating life at the lake has come to an end! Lol.
The story line about your dad going to the car reminded me of when the Lone Ranger turned to Tonto and said “Come we go” and he did. Time after time he trusted that it would be ok as long as they were together. Happy 65th!

Here's an accompanying music video of a song I co-wrote. A tribute to long-lasting love, and a little more dancing!

Happy anniversary to your folks, Kevin. Being married 65 years is an amazing accomplishment.
It's really kind of unbelievable. Thank you, Bill!

Such a very sweet tribute, Kevin. Very well told.
